Tamborine Mountain Distillery is once again Australia's most-awarded distillery at the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition held recently in London.
"The judging is so tough that very few Golds are awarded" said Michael Ward. "You can be the best in your class in the world with a Silver ... which was the case with our Arak/Raki Pastis. So to get a Bronze in any category is a huge honour."
"In excess of 68 countries competed this year, and over 8,000 entries were received: not a bad result for Australia's smallest operating Pot Still Distillery. This brings our International tally to over 74" said Michael.
"Also recently, at the ISW Spirits Awards in Germany, Tamborine Mountain Distillery was awarded a Gold for its popular Choc Mint Liqueur. This caps off an incredible month for us, as we were awarded "Best Tourist Attraction" in the Scenic Rim Regional Council Tourism Awards for Queensland, as well as being chosen to be on the front cover of the Gold Coast White and Yellow Pages® 2008-2009 Phone Book."
