Tamborine Mountain Distillery Wins Gold at the 2022 Queensland Tourism Awards
Celebrating Gold in Tourism Wineries, Distilleries & Breweries
What a night for Tamborine Mountain Distillery.
In November 2022, we took home Gold at the Queensland Tourism Awards, winning the Tourism Wineries, Distilleries & Breweries category.
Gordon Chalmers and Dr Shumei Hou accepted the award at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, celebrating an achievement that meant a great deal to our entire team.
More Than What's in the Bottle
What made this Gold particularly special was what it recognised.
The Tourism Wineries, Distilleries & Breweries category isn't simply about the spirits in the bottle. It recognises wineries, distilleries and breweries that offer visitor experiences and contribute to Queensland tourism.
For us, that's an important distinction.
A visit to Tamborine Mountain Distillery has always been about more than tasting a gin, liqueur, vodka, rum or brandy.
It's about discovering the stories behind them, experiencing the character of the distillery and making our little corner of Tamborine Mountain part of your time on the Mountain.
A Proud Moment for Our Team
For Gordon, the award belonged to everyone who helped create that experience.
"This award is a huge honour, and we couldn't have done it without our amazing team and all of our loyal customers who continue to support us every day.
We have worked so hard to create an experience that is truly unique and memorable for every customer, and we will continue this journey to ensure that Tamborine Mountain and Queensland remains such an incredible place for our visitors from Australia and around the world."

And the Story Continued...
That 2022 Gold turned out to be the beginning of another memorable chapter.
In 2023, Tamborine Mountain Distillery returned to the Queensland Tourism Awards and won Gold in the Tourism Wineries, Distilleries & Breweries category for the second consecutive year.
Two years. Two Gold awards. One very proud team.
